Brief Profile

Dr. Menka Tiwari is a Teaching Faculty in the School of Basic Sciences (Biology) at Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU), Fursatganj, Amethi. She holds a Ph.D. in Botany from the Department of Botany, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Her doctoral research focused on Exploring Within- and Between-Generation Defense Priming Responses in Wheat and Barley using Trichoderma and BABA.

She completed her M.Sc. and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany from the Department of Botany, Institute of Science, BHU. Her research broadly focuses on plant defence priming mechanisms in crop plants against biotic and abiotic stresses using various priming agents. Dr. Tiwari has published research articles and reviews in reputed international journals such as Frontiers in Plant Science, Environmental and Experimental Botany, Physiological and Molecular Plant Pathology, and Plant Stress.

She is a CSIR-UGC NET JRF qualified researcher and has received several academic awards, including the First Prize Award at Shodh Sangam 2024 organized by the Institute of Science, BHU. She has also actively presented her research work at national and international conferences.
